Membership Requirements
Organizations applying for FAHE Membership must meet the following criteria:
Organization Type
Nonprofit corporation with 501(c)3 status
Community Action Agency
Housing Authority
Other organizations subject to approval by FAHE's Board of Directors
Appalachian Service Area
Kentucky
Tennessee
Virginia
West Virginia
Commitment to Affordable Housing
Members must demonstrate a commitment to affordable housing through one or more of the following activies:
Development
Preservation
Counseling
Financing
Organizational Requirements
In addition, prospective Members must provide evidence that they meet the following criteria:
Employ one or more full-time staff person whose position is dedicated to housing.
Audits for the three previous fiscal years.
Quarterly financial statements for housing lines of business for the past 24 months.
Application Process
The application process begins with a letter to FAHE's Membership Director requesting consideration for membership, which may result in an invitation to submit a full application per the Membership Guidelines. The application is submitted, along with annual membership dues ($250) for review. After the application is received, it will move through three steps before Membership is approved.

3. Board of Directors Approval
